At Literacy Pod Tutoring, we believe literacy support should meet children where they are and build from there.
We provide neurodiversity affirming, individualized literacy support that recognizes children learn in different ways and at different paces. Our approach combines explicit, evidence informed literacy instruction with hands on, Montessori informed learning experiences to strengthen reading, writing, spelling and foundational literacy skills while building independence and confidence.
Our intentionally small Literacy Pods, with a maximum of four children, allow learners to receive targeted instruction and meaningful individual attention while having the freedom to move, explore materials, practise independently and learn within a small group environment.

Why Literacy Pods?
Individualized Learning
In pods, each child works toward their own literacy goals using instruction and materials selected for where they are currently working. Children can share a pod without needing to share the same lesson, level or learning goal.
Small by Design
Keeping pods small allows tutors to closely observe each child, provide frequent support, and adjust instruction as learning happens. With a maximum of four learners, we have the time and flexibility to respond to individual needs while keeping each child actively engaged.
Independence & Mastery
Children have opportunities to move, use hands on materials, practise independently and share what they know. These experiences help strengthen understanding while building independence and confidence.
